Tripmeister Tom Komarek has announced details on this planned adventure on the Big Muddy. Here are a few words of introduction.
Like Creedence and Tina Turner in their song “Proud Mary,” the Class of ’62 will be hitching “a ride on a river boat queen” and will be “rollin’ on the river” from Memphis down to New Orleans. On April 22, 2018, we’ll meet in Memphis, home of the National Civil Rights Museum, the Sun Studio birthplace of rock and roll, and Elvis’s Graceland. The next afternoon we board the American Queen (AQ) Paddle Wheel Riverboat to begin our journey down the Mississippi. Our cruise will end in New Orleans on April 30."
